Meaning no matter which Mopar you buy you still get the same exact engine One would think Dodge would have slipped in a few performance internals into them at the Mexican factory.

Yet this is why this engine responds so well to performance add ons.

Ive seen a few call the 5.7 a truck engine but its all in the gearing.

My Challenger is much faster and quicker than my RAM and the 5.7 in it is 11 years newer and it isnt exactly the same engine.

The Vipers V-10 engine started as a cast iron truck engine before it was re-engineered by Lamborghini.

Doesnt make sense to me.

I didnt feel I needed.

Mopar has a nice amount of parts it could have used for the ChallngerCharger line up like a hotter cam, 392 intake, better short headers, etc.

Its not the cam on the m6 rather the final gearing in the trans and read end.

The 4200 lb. weight is outrageous with no reduction in sight Yet they sell somehow.

But get the one you want now as I see these cars going away when sales drop off.

Rip out that engine that you think is a POS and put in something different.

Somewhat reasonable gas mileage, sounds great, lot of fun and lot of potential.and a different cam in the manual version.
